Who Does the Work
We're based at 13601 80th Cir N in Maple Grove, and the trucks run out from there to the houses around it - Osseo three miles off, Dayton at five, Champlin and Corcoran and New Hope all within six. We also take calls from Rogers, Crystal, Medina, Brooklyn Center, Anoka, Robbinsdale, Loretto, Golden Valley, Fridley, Ramsey, Wayzata, Long Lake, Spring Lake Park, Greenfield, Columbia Heights, Andover, Woodland, Orono, Maple Plain, St. Louis Park, Mounds View, St. Michael, New Brighton, Albertville, and Deephaven. That's a wide stretch of the north and west metro, and the houses in it aren't uniform - some were framed before anyone in the neighborhood was born, some went up in the last twenty years. We don't pretend one truck and one script covers all of it. What we do is show up, look at the actual door and actual opener in front of us, and work from there. No call center reading off a script, no guessing at parts over the phone when we can just come look.
What We Are Called Out For
Minnesota winters are hard on garage doors, and this area sits in a cold, severe climate band that doesn't let up for months at a time. That means broken torsion springs from cold-stiffened steel taking one cycle too many, openers that strain and die trying to lift a door frozen to the weatherstrip, and rollers that seize up in January and get noisy by February. On the older end of the housing stock - the 1957 to early-80s builds - we see worn-out galvanized track and hardware that was never upgraded, plus panels that have taken thirty-plus winters of expansion and contraction. On newer builds we're usually dealing with opener electronics, sensor alignment, or cables that frayed on a track nobody's lubricated since it was installed. We carry common parts on the truck, but some older or less common hardware has to be ordered - we'll tell you upfront if that's the case instead of promising a same-visit fix we can't deliver.
